Q: Chlamedya Questions

Hi, i'm a new member here and decided to ask a few questions i'm confused about. I recently (this past friday) found out I might have chlamedya so I went to the doctor today and she gave me 4 hot pink pills to be taken all at once. I did that. I also took a urine sample and a blood test to the lab. I'm waiting on the results. I haven't felt any symptoms yet and I know they can be silent/dormant for a while. I've only been intimate with 2 people my whole life.

The person that told me to get checked out has not had intercourse in around 2 yrs with anyone else but me in february. He found out this week because he got a kidney infection a month ago and through further tests, they told him he had it.

My questions are:
is it possible for a male to carry chlamedya for over 2 years and not know about it at all? Also, is it possible to get chlamedya without having intercourse?

What i'm thinking is that maybe the guy that had the kidney infection has been carrying it for over 2 years and never knew and then blew out by causing the kidney infection?

Please, i'd like some ideas on this. I'm pretty confused and new on all of this. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

Yes, he probably could.

A recent survey of young army recruit proved that approx 10% had chlamydia.

For a lot of men there will be no symptoms at all, but some will experience mild dicomfort in the end of the penis - even then that may only last for a couple days.
