I'm a 39 year old female that has been plagued with first boils then carbuncles since the age of 12. I'm a neat freak--i take two to three showers a day, I use antibacterial soap, I don't wear tight clothing and I have watched my diet for years. I don't get it and actually neither does my doctor. He has gotten to the point where he won't lance the carbuncles because they have become so huge. Boil ease doesn't work. Hot compresses seem to aggravate it (it changes position but rarely comes to a head). My system has become immune to several types of antibiotics because of the constant usage of them. If anyone has any home remedies, natural prevents/cures or anything that would speed up the process of these painful infections, I would love to hear about it.
Thank you and god bless....

Hey I also suffer from painful boils but I get them on my face which I hate and some things seem to work to a degree but have u tried magnesium sulphate paste? If not then see if it helps cause I heard it does a good job for boils.. Here is somthing a woman told me to do also.....

Here are a couple of home remidies you can try .It's called a "poltus" use very hot milk and a piece of white bread....Just a little bigger then the spot...Soak the bread and squeeze the extra milk out..And place it on the spot with a bandage...Over night...Come morning it will have brought up to the surface what ever is inside..When you peel of the bandage it will pop...It's a little painful but clears it up really fast...That night put on a second poltus made with brown sugar and the soggy part of bar soap....Mix it really well...This one heals what the other one pulled out...

Since I Was 12 I Began to Have Boils
I had boils infrequently until I had my second child at the age of thirty. Then I began getting carbuncles. Boils that are connected under the skin by a network of tunnels. For the last five years I have worked with my doctor taking a plethora of antibiotics for long, long periods of time.
My mother suggested that possibly we all have an overgrowth of candida in our bodies and that taking goldenseal and pau d'arco would get the candida under control so that my body could overcome the carbuncles that fluctuated in severity although never went away. I began taking two goldenseal capsules (the root, 1080mg) and one pau d'arco (1010mg, it also has calcium in the one I bought) twice a day. Once in the morning and once in the evening. I had about six carbuncles (or boils) six days ago and now there are only two. This regimen has shown the best improvement for me. I am begining to have hope. I am going to continue the regimen until they are completely gone and I will write again in a week.

Hi mommyluvsbabies
He will grow out of it, eventually - allergies run in 7 year cycles. Finding the allergy can help. If you haven't done any allergy tests you could pop him on a vegan type diet for a month or until symptoms subside then gradually add one item at a time, every two weeks to see check his reaction to them, just like you would when they are babies. He will have an allergy to something - it may be that it is environmental though which will be hard to discover. You can do a couple of things to relieve symptoms and problems caused by the eczema i.e. carbuncles and yeast infections. If there are any natural hotpools around you may find the bacteria in them will attack the eczema cells this worked here in NZ for my brother who had a severe case at that age too. Also try hypo allergenic washing powder, do a double rinse and on the second rinse add some Epsom salt. The magnesium sulphate (Epsom) in his clothing may help draw the moisture from his skin. Put some Epsom salts in his bath too - it is very good at that sort. A poultice of Epsom can be bought or made for use on the carbuncles to draw out the infected core - do not use for long periods as it will thin the skin too. The yeast infections will stop when his eczema goes, until then you could apply a poultice overnite of acidophilis yoghurt - hopefully he has no dairy allergy. I also haven't tried it myself by you could try the pau d'arco herb as it has shown evidence of being strong against candida - the bacteria which seems to over produce in some people. He could be increasing his risk of more carbuncles through scratching so do what you can like keeping his nails trimmed to prevent him putting more bacteria in his skin, or tight thermals (to his wrists and ankles) washed in very hot or boiling water and Epsom daily. Getting out in the sun to dry and harden his skin should help too.
