I'm Pregnant, Can I Have My Wisdom Teeth Taken Out? Posted: 04-17-06 19:15pm
i need to have my wisdom teeth removed
asap, but I am pregnant, a friend told me
that the gas they use could kill me. Is
this true? What meds should I take or not
take after my teeth are removed? Is
having my teeth removed now a good idea or
should I wait?
I'm looking for an educated answer, thanks
for your help and advice.

I really couldn't tell you the answer to
this one. All I can say is that the
dentist will know what they can and can
not give you when you are pregnant. So
just be sure to tell the dentist that you
are pregnant and to be on the safe ask you
obgyn also.

Your dentist would have to tell you...But
I am pretty sure that if it is was a
necessity to have them out before you
deliver you would not be able to have gas
or anasthesia, they would only be able to
give you numbing shots in each tooth
before they were removed...Which doesn't
sound fun to me.
I could be wrong, but make sure you tell
your oral surgeon before he does
anything!
Good luck

Yes you can, but I know my dentist would
not pull a tooth unless I had a letter
from my ob saying they could but could not
use any gas I was only allowed numbing
shots with no pain meds afterward only
tylonel, which sucked lol. But yes it is
possible. If I were you I would talk to
you ob and see what he/she says. Good
luck
