I have tmj and I was wondering if ne1 has this problem. I can make my jaw click without moving my jaw. At ne time I can make this clicking popping sound in both my ears which I think is my jaw but maybe its not? It sounds like grinding but nothing is moving and it drivesme crazy kuz I do it all the time unintensionally and its just weird and I cant find anything online about it or anyone who can do this. Its hard for me 2 explain wut it is thats happening I can do it with my mouth closed or open n I can control wut side it pops on. When I do it it pops like 5 times really fast within a second and if I hold it it feels like there is pressure on my ears and I get a weird breezy like noise in my ear. Its crazy I dont understand it ive been able 2 do it for as long as I can remember any input would b appreciated

I cant really help you too much, what I will say is do not make your jaw click because this will cause more damage. I used to do this when I went to bed as habbit before I dropped off to sleep. This and a comination of stress at work resulted in lock jaw for 18 months which at times was unbelievably painful. So now 5 operations later and a titanium cartilage im waiting for yet another operation which might be a joint replacement. Take care of your jaw relax eat soft foods also see a doctor.

TMJ
I, too have it..I am only 17 years old and suffering this illness for 10 years.. I've already told this to my mother but she did nothing. So i search to the internet. This is TMJ, and it really annoying when I want to open my mouth but I can't do so. When I want to yawn, my mouth locked! And it is so hard to close it! Every morning it kind of pissing me off! My right jaw is making a popping or clicking sound that affects my ears. My head always aching at the right side to the back and inside my ears really does hurting! It is not that hard but annoying! i read some advice and they told me that it is a problem to the spinal and chewing gum. But i dont actually love chewing gum. my friend had this too, she have undergo a surgery because it is a critical one. maybe you should see a doctor. But me, for a mean time, i will just try to treat myself..:] goodluck!
