Hello,,ive been having problems with an
inner ear problem for many years. I have
positional vertigo, and the little calcium
stone that circulates and give the wrong
signal to the brain and this is where I
get the spinning. Ive had ent try to
place the stone so it doesnt bother me and
the 4 different types of repositioning
procedures that doesnt seem to work. Now
a head and neck surgeon who also
specialises in balance disorders is
telling me that there is surgery that
could help. I have to have a vestibular
test,water caloric test, otolith function
and audiometric test and then he checks to
see if the repositoning of the stone
helped. Has anyone heard of this surgery
or these test that I have to do. Would
like to hear from you ...Need to calm my
fears and want to know what to expect when
I go in may 2006.
