Hi,
it felt like a breakthrough finding this
forum, felt I was all alone in my
suffering with my anxiety condition. The
two symptoms which are currently bothering
me the most are my constant feeling of
burning heat all over my body and periodic
itching of my skin all over. After
reading up on this forum I think I know
what I have- cholinergic urticaria (heat
hives).
I've given up on western medicine to help
me because for the past year I have seen
many doctors and they did blood tests and
nothing came up and they just said I had
anxiety and didn't explain how my anxiety
was causing my symptoms and weren't
telling me how to get better.
Right now I am seeing a psychologist for
cbt and relaxation/ hypnosis. I listen to
a meditation tape everyday to help me
relax and I do feel calmer. I also
started seeing a naturopath and he gave me
homeopathic medicine, "puls 40" to get rid
of my symptoms. It's been a week and my
heat and itching is still bothering me. I
also try to go to the gym twice a week and
walk everywhere.
I am very anxious, feel tightness in my
chest alot of the time, when I wake up in
the morning my whole body is stiff with
worry, etc. I've been feeling terrible
for the past year and i'm only 22, feel
like i've lost a whole lot of time in my
life feeling sick. I thought I had a
serious infectious disease and kept going
for std tests, even though I haven't had
penetrative sex yet. I feel suicidal alot
of the time cos I don't have any quality
of life and don't want to live like this
forever and don't know when i'll get any
better.
I get really bad pms mood swings ,alot of
anger to the point I want to smash
someone, but i'm not capable of actually
doing it.
I'm also single and that gets me down cos
people say i'm really attractive,
intelligent, outgoing, funny...So what is
the problem? I've had 'encounters' with
many guys but they were only interested in
sex and when they found out I was a virgin
they said they didn't want to be 'my
first'.
I just want to get better...Is there
anything else I should do???Please help!!!

With the psychological and medical help
you have been seeing, has anyone been able
or tried to pin point the reason for your
anxiety. Do you hae good days and then
all of a sudden you get hit with an attack
or do you pretty much have these feelings
all the time?
Do you keep a journal on what you are
feeling, what makes you feel that way, why
you acted the way you did to certain
situation, etc. Not that I am saying this
is the cure, but it helped me find out
what is causing some of my anxiety. When
I know certain things set me off, I can
either aoid them, or deal with them in my
own way instead of having to deal with
them "their" way.
Hey, keep writing a little more about what
is happening, and maybe some of us can
help and relate, but in situations like
this, too much information is easier to
help with than just a little.
