I have had unprotected sex more then several times in the past month. I am on ortho tri-cyclen, but I missed some days. My period was supposed to be here on the 1st and there is still no sign of it. My breasts are sore, but not too bad.I have cramps like it is going to come. Is there a number of days a period can be late?

A period can be very late. Missing pills can throw you off on your period or it can be stress that is delaying it. I once had a period in the middle of october and didnt get another one until december 15th. Now that freaked me out, but I wasnt pregnant, just stressing. Take a test to find out if you are or not.

Hey!
I have always been late with my period so it was a shock when I found out I was pregnant. If you're only a few days late a urine test is not going to determine anything. I took a urine test and it came out negative so I didn't think anything of it. Once my breast began to burn and become sore I went to the doctor and took a blood test and sure enough I was pregnant. Get a blood test quick.
