How old were you when you lost your virginity? What would you consider to be the typical age?

i was 18, but I was trying to hold out until marriage due to my parents religion. Lol well, I was engaged ! Haha.. I'm assuming that the typical age is around 16 or so. I know alot of people I went to highschool with, were already having sex and that has been 11 yrs ago, so I know things have gotten worse. :p

I was 15 but I think that there is no average age... I think you should do it when it feels right and you feel ready... Not before.. You dont want it to be something you regret as youll remember it forever.. Personally I probably think I was too young at 15 but everyones different.. Once youve done it you cannt change it..So make sure its right x x

We know what we shoudl have done when were older but when your 15,16 or what ever, you don't think about the future, you think about now. . .We don't have the smarts when we're younger that we do now. He!!,i wish I wouls have at least waited until I was 17 or something,i think that would have been a good age and I would have thought it through better and made a better decision.

I lost my virginity to a guy who raped me when I was 18. My first consensual time was when I was 19, and i'm still with him.

I was 15, few months away from being 16!

I'm seriously glad I did it then with the person I loved, because a few days after that I got raped.

I was 13 and I can look back and see why I did it but I tell you that from the get go I knew how to protect myself and how to avoid diseases and pregnancy, so at least I was making an informed decision.

Do I feel hypocritical telling others not to do that.........

No, because I know how much of a mistake it was even if I was fully informed. So, when I advise against it I speak from experience not high mindedness.

I was 15 and do wish i'd waited but hindsight is 20/20 vision eh?
He was my first real boyfriend and we stayed together for a few years afterwards so I guess it would have happened with him even if I had waited!

I was 15, but I wish I would have waited and saved my virginity for the guy I am with now. We have been together for over two years and if I could take it back I would have lost it to him :)

14
Hey, I was 14. I'm still dealing with the consquences. I was a 'lucky' one (i like to think i'm blessed). I didn't get pregnant nor did I contract any diseases. After me and my boyfriend broke up after a year and a half I spent 6 years trying to find a guy like him. None of them were right. I felt horrible and had sex with 9 guys, my husband is number 9. I love him dearly but he was a vergin and it broke my heart to know that he had to deal with knowing that I was so experience and that I had gone through so much as a result of it.
It seems so exciting when you're young, but when you get older...

Yeah I am 18 and my boyfriend is 19 we start dating when I was 16 and broke up wasn't really that serious but we got back together and we love eachother alot. We both wish we had lost our virginity to each other. We are really close I came to live with him and his parents when I just turned 17 and still living here. :d we couldn't be happier.
