Q: Menstrual Cycle Question

Alright, I had my period about a week and a half ago, but for the past couple days i've been having cramps and hot flashes, and my breasts are starting to feel tender already.. I have a sexual relationship with my boyfriend, protected of course, but i'm not on birth control as I get bad side effects from the hormones.

I'm just wondering if I could be pmsing already or if I should be worried?

I don't normally get overheated until the day before I menstruate.. So these flashes are weird to me, I wasn't bothered until my breasts hurt last night when I took my bra off to go to bed. I don't want to become paranoid over nothing.

I hope this question isn't too dumb.

Thanks.

Christa

Assuming you have overall regular cycles, it's possible that you are/were ovulating when you had the breast pain and the hot flashes. If these symptoms do not appear normally, perhaps your body decided to be mean to you and make you suffer. If you do not suspect pregnancy (since it would be highly unlikely that symptoms would appear so early) and you are still very concerned, you may want to speak to your doctor about it.

I'm sorry I could not be of more help to you.

Thanks for replying

my cycles are regular. The hot flashes stopped for one day (yesterday) and then I just got one 5 minutes ago lol
i still have the breast pain, and the cramps - and i'm regular so I know it isn't my digestive tract causing those..

I don't think i'm pregnant.. And I won't unless I miss my period. I've just never gotten hot flashes this soon, only the day before/or of menstruation.

I think my body's just deciding to be a pain in the butt.

Oh the joys of being female. :-p
