Daycare...

I just dropped trey off for his first day
at daycare. We're doing the integration
so he does not freak out at a full day.
He'll be there from 9:30-3 today. He
seemed fine when I left. We have been
going to a moms and tots group since he
was 2months so he's used to other kids.
Anyway. I'm going to do some spring
cleaning to keep my mind off my baby being
away!!!

I don't think i'm going to be able to
afford it. I make a decent salary but
after I pay everything for the month I
can't afford to pay $600 a month on top of
that. I haven't found one cheaper than
that anyway

rather quit school til he was older and in

florida. Every summer atleast 2 kids die
because the idiots leave them in vans when
its 100 degrees outside. (making it 150
in the van) becuase they "forgot" about
them. One guy last year took the van
home after forgetting to drop one of the
kids off, and went inside his house and
fell asleep, got up and got ready for his
second job, then when he was leaving later
that evening saw the kid dead already.
Or they hire 18 yr olds who just got a
license to drive the big vans and busses
with no experience so they end up rolling
them off the side of the road.
I dont trust
daycares. |
neither do I but I may not have a choice.
We'll see what his daddy says.

I agree is is really sad here their are a
lot of day care in th.U.S.A that get shut
down but their are some good. I do like
the rule though that you are not allowed
to come and pick up your kid if you smell
like booze as anymoore one beer can get
you a dui but some of the day care's are
dirty, they do not keep an eye on the kids
or keep them safely busy while their are
others that are great.
I am glad trey did okay or is it mommy did
okay with day care, lol. When are you
going back to work lil_ blaze? When are
you going to show us some hew pictures?
Good luck?

I'm hoping to line up enough freelance
editing/writing jobs to work from home and
get a little pay. It won't be near what I
make at my job now, but my argument toward
that is that not having to spend any money
on daycare will make up a .T.O.N of
difference.
Plus, I just .W.A.N.T (like many, many
mommies) to spend as much of my son's
early life as I can with him. You can't
get that back. And if I have an
opportunity to do that, why shouldn't i?

He was really good they said, he only
cried once near the end of the day cause
he got bopped by another baby, but that
was it we'll see how it goes on thursday.
Now I just need to find a job to go
along with daycare-lol
and yes, we have a good system in quebec,
it's only here that they do the 7$/day not
all of canada, plus we are getting 100$
extra per month for child care starting in
july from the governement but that is all
of canada. We get pretty good bonuses
here monthly.. About 200$ from
provincial gov't and 366$ starting in july
from federal (right now it's 266) you get
even more if you're on social assistance,
like my sil gets like 500 from one and 700
from another but she has 2 kids and stays
home with them so she's on welfare. But
there are benefits to living here. Free
medical, cheap daycare, good family
allowance monthly, winter sucks though-lol

hunh? Here my aunt and uncle make over
$200,000 together and still get family
allowance twice a month. And they're
increasing the federal family allowance by
100$ for each child under 6 for child care
expenses.

What? You can actually have an income
and still get help? Not so here. It's
complicated but here unless you're dirt
poor you don't qualify for crap!
