Q: Left Ball Pain

Hi well obviously i'm not asking for myself but for my friend....Hes been having shooting pain in his left ball it comes and goes its really sharp and last a few minutes but leaves him in severe pain for those minutes he has to get into see the dr but thats going to be a couple months if anyone could give me any idea what it could be that would be of great help
