Bad Pain, to Be Gall Bladder Or Not to Be. Posted: 04-10-06 14:10pm
Hi there,
new to the site and after reading I
realized we all have simular problems.
I have been having sevre pain in my
stomache for 10 years. It starts right
under my breast bone and works its way to
my back. It feels like im being stabbed
to death with a dull object. Sorry to be
graphic but really there is no other way
to describe it.
When the pain starts, I get really bad
heartburn. So bad that I taste it in my
mouth. I have sevre gas after eatting
and thats accompanied by bad heartburn and
a bile bad taste. I get sick thinking
anything to releive the pain, but nothing
helps. I cant breath when the pain
strikes and I lay in a fetal position.
Lately I have noticed that I have sevre
bad breath in the morning, even tho I have
ocd with teeth brushing.. I brush like 8
times a day, more so at night now since
bad breath mornings( which does nothing as
the breath is bad in the morning) some one
told me that thats one of the symptons to
non functioning gall bladders and I have
many of the symptoms.
Finally when the 15 - 20 zantac 75mg a day
stopped helping the heartburn, I went in
to see my doctor. He ordered an
ulterasound and it came back as normal.
He said, well you have no gall stones,
therefore your gall bladder is fine. He
dismissed my complaints and left me
undiagnosed, I walked out of that office
feeling ok this is all in my head, and
they all think im a quack.
i have never been back to have it checked
again. Lately it has gotten a lot worse.
The pain coming and going atleast once a
week. I have unbelievable gas after
every meal and im such a light eater,
salads, fruit and fish daily. I realize
as we get older, we let go of lots of gas,
but im in my early thirties and have the
elderly beat in the gas department hands
down!!!! **smiles*** :?
Should I be doing more? I mean I dont
want to go back to have it checked and it
be normal again, that only proves one
thing, I am a quack and lost it long
ago....
Any tips would be appreciated.

You should probably have a hida scan done.
That is the other test they usually do
for gallbladder problems if the ultrasound
is normal. I'm surprised your doctor
didn't already recommend having this done
though.

Well I find that most doctors here in
canada, make their money from appointments
and mis diagnosis' more so then surgery.
He never ordered any other tests, despite
my many complaints.
I think I will just hit the hospital and
tell them, to cut it out. It serves me no
use being there, and it is my body.
Hopefully it will cure the problem, and it
saves me 1000 in appointments with people
that clearly got their medical degree from
mickey mouse.
