My mom has had a cough for 6 straight weeks. The doctor gave her some kind of medicine but it hasnet worked. Anybody else had coughs for this long? And what could be causing it?

I've got the same thing happening to me right now. I wish more than anything that it would go away. They've thought it was everything from H1N1 to pneumonia to meningitis. Its getting ridiculous.

Hi, lipske and quoting,

Quoting is your mother a smoker? Lipske are you a smoker or are either around smokers constantly? Is there mole in your home? Sometimes our home make us sick, I would start with the air vents, carpets, etc... You may want to have your air ducts cleaned.

Good Luck

Faded rose,

no, no one around me is a smoker and neither am I. We also just had our place checked for mould. Mine comes along with a series of other symptoms including fever, low to undetectable blood pressure, vomiting, rash, delerium and neck/muscle pain. It also becomes far worse when I am laying down. Hopefully soon the doctors can figure out what is wrong with me!
