Hello, I was diagnosed the 27th of march that I have cin 3 high grade now I have really no idea what is to come of it. But for years I have had cysts on my ovaries as well, and periods come on maybe once every 8 months when someone pushes on the lower part where the ovaries are. Then and only then do I have a menstral period. But I have been fighting for a hystercatamy ( sp ) for a really long time. I want it to just be gone. Im 30 yrs old I have 3 beautiful children. But I just cant seem to find a doctor who is willing to do the surgery yet. But I just had a pap not even 5 months ago and it came back normal, how is it that today they are saying I have cin 3 which is from my understanding pre-cancerous at least thats what the nurse called it when I was notified. I am just really confused, could have the lab made a mistake 5 months ago or did this come that fast?

why are you having pap smears that often? Have you had dysplasia (cin 3) before?

It is precancerous cells. Generally they take years to develop into cancer. What is the next step? Are you getting a biopsy? From the biospy, you and your doctors can make a decision based on those results. A hysterectomy can be one of those options depending on your doctor.

Good luck.

Yes I have had a biopsy done , they took 3 well all at the same time. And 2 weeks later I got a call saying that I had pre- cancerous cells that were high grade. The dr wanted me to make another appointment to have a leep done. And the reason I have had paps so much is because I dont have a regular doctor to see I have no ins. And I was having no periods for 8 months so I decided to go to a hospital where someone would actually do something for me.

good luck finding a doctor to help you have a hysterectomy. No insurance may make that difficult but not impossible.

Cin 3 wouldn't be a reason not to have periods. Did this doctor tell you what s/he thought about that? Sounds hormonal or something. Good luck with everything. I know getting a doctor to listen to you can be frustrating.
