Q: Is Reddish-Brown Fluid from the Belly Button normal after Ap
asked by: DoctorQuestion on April 9th, 2006
I just had an appendicitis surgery through my belly button a week ago, and now there is reddish brown gunk coming out around my belly button. Plus white stuff in the middle. Is this normal?

No, it is not normal to have a reddish-brown fluid excrete from the belly button after appendicitis surgery. You can go to your surgeon immediately to check the wound.
