Q: For how long is the Spleen enlarged during Mononucleosis?
asked by: DoctorQuestion on April 8th, 2006
Well i have mononucleosis. I've had it so for for about 5 or 6 weeks.I am tired and weak and sore throat and sometimes headaches. But my main symptom is nausea and fullness. I have an enlarged spleen and my doctor said the nausea and fullness is because of that. It seems like forever and I was just wondering how long the spleen is enlarged for?

During mononucleosis, the spleen is often enlarged for several weeks. All the symptoms you’ve been experiencing are typical for the infective agent mononucleosis.
