Q: Abortion Privacy.

Im 14 and think im pregnate. I if I am I want an abortion. Not because I do not want kids or cause my reputation. Because im to young and my parents would probly disown me if they had known I was pregnate.

I looked up on the internet for a abortion clinic and found one in indianapolis indiana (im from indianapolis) and it said they have privacy but what does that mean? Here is the website if anyone would like to take a look for better understandings.

Womensmedcenter.Com/
because I do not want my parents to know.

My other questions are.

How much does it cost?If I am pregnate im 6-7 weeks.

Can I go to school the next day?

Will they tell my parents?

If only my boyfriend and I know will anyone else find out?

I cant go to planned parenthood. In august of 2005 I had e-mailed them about getting birth control and informed them that my boyfriend was 16 and they called child services on me and I got in a bunch of trouble cause they said I was having unprotected sex. So that option is out.

Thank you so much for people who help me.

Emily

I unfortunately do not have a lot of information on this subject. I am slightly confused as to why planned parenthood did what it did; but haven't you taken a pregnancy test yet? You shouldn't even be thinking about an abortion if you don't even know if you're pregnant yet.

Do you know that you may not have called planned parenthood, you may have actually called a "crisis pregnancy center" they often have names similar to planned parenthood.

in order to ahve an abortion you would have to get a "judicial bypass" you would basically see a judge, tell him you know what you are doing, noone is forcing you, and the judge would say you do not need parents consent..The clinic can help you out with this.... Privacy just means that there are not going to be people everywhere, that it is a very good clinic most likely. That clinic is known to be good.

Call the clinic, tell them you need a judicial bypass. You ask "can you help me" most clinics will be able to.

The reason I say it may be a crisis preganncy center is because 14 year old and 16 year old are not considered statutory rape in most states.

Secondly a real planne dparenthood doesn't ask how old your boyfriend is.

Exceptions for minors
a minor may obtain an abortion without parental consent by securing a court order stating she is mature enough to make her own decision or that an abortion is in her best interest. We strongly suggest parental involvement. However, in some cases this is not possible and we will help with the process.

This is what the clinic says..So they will help you get a bypass..They will also give you birth control to take after the abortion...

Call the 1800 number later and get in touch with a real planned parenthood, because some fake ones do "put one over" on some women..

what was the email address you used for the "planned parenthood"?

For future reference, in indiana, you need one parent's permission to obtain an abortion or can go through a judicial bypass which is free and not very hard to do.

Were you under 14 when you had sex? Indiana law stipulates that it is a crime to engage in sex with anyone under the age of 14 regardless of the age of the other person. However, if you were already 14 when this took place, then it was not a crime as long as he is not: 18 , 21 , or more than 3 years older than you. There should have been no case and no investigation if you were already 14 when you had sex.

My last question, and I am trying not to sound judgmental but .W.H.Y are you having sex at 14?
Peace,
jenn

you had your period after unprotected sex with your boyfriend?

If so, then I highly doubt you are pregnant, considering the errors you are getting on the hope pregnancy tests. However, if you are so worried that you are thinking of an abortion, I would suggest you go to a hospital or a clinic somehow and get a blood test.

Good question jen. I dono why I was having sex at the age of 14. And but technically I was 13 at the time. My boyfriend is 3 years and 2 months older than me so. Ya.

Im bleeding as if im having a normal period. And cramps are mild. As usual....So I dono.

The email I used was at the indiana planned parenthood site and it was on the right that said like 'if you need to talk email us!' or something pursueding like that.

While I was in the 'omg im pregnate' situation I came to conclusions im not going to have sex with a condom next time. Cause next time ill be trying to have kids. But for now. I will enjoi my life with no children until I want them....Afterall. The police officer told me that kids ruin your life. Wow hes real smart.

as I said before, i'm not passing judgement. And, since i'm prochoice and realistic, this was probably not the last time you are going to have sex before you're personally ready for children. So, in the future, might I suggest seeing a doctor and getting on birth control or using condoms and spermicide to decrease your chances of pregnancy?

In high school, my boyfriend (who is now my husband) and I only used condoms and thankfully we never experienced a pregnancy until much, much later.
Peace,
jenn

you can always get on birth control; but I do also feel that children of your age shoudln't be having sex at all. Still, it doesn't sound like you're pregnant at all.

Which leads me to think that you don't know very much about pregnancy, contraception or human reproduction in the first place; even more reasons why you shouldn't be having sex.

Can you talk to an older adult about this that can help you to get on some type of b/c pill or device such as your mother, an older sister an aunt, a teacher because it does not sound like you are the type to say no to sex so at least get some protection and make sure that the guy uses a condom unless you want a sexual transmimitted disease!

Good luck!
