Q: Duct Tape Method On Genital Warts? Help!

Has anyone else ever heard of or tried the duct tape method? I've read about it online; you're supposed to keep the wart covered by duct tape for 6 days and then soak it and file it, then repeat until the wart is gone (up to 2 months only). I have heard that it is quite successful, but what about on genital warts? Does it work? Has anyone tried it in that area? It seems like a tricky area for the tape to stay stuck. Thanks!

Duct tape and genital warts, hmmm. That doesn't sound like a very good combination. If I were you, I would go to a gynecologist to get it checked out. Surgically removing them sounds like a much more reliable method. I know that it will probably be embarassing for you but I think it would be the best option.

I have visited a gynecologist. I am just exploring any possible at-home remedies.

It worked for me
Hi!! i have the HPV virus and get genital warts anywhere from 1-10.. not to many and they are small.. and i did the duct tape thing and it worked! you just have to be careful cause when u remove the duct tape, make sure to soak your wart area in RUNNING water and stay there for a bit while u file it... cause it can cause a little bit of bleeding and if the blood hits long enough in another noninfected area, you can get another wart. i've gone through the freezing off of the wart and have never been in soo much pain, plus it leaves scar tissues this way.
