Q: About Papaya And Asafoetida!

Hi debb,
i've been reading your posts for quite sometime and I read that pineapple juice thing. Well I don't know about pineapple juice, but, in india they say that you shouldn't eat papaya (especially raw) and asafoetida (an indian spice) during pregnancy. It causes misscariage. Raw papaya contains an enzyme called papain which tenderizes meat and that is the reason why they recommend not to take papaya during pregnancy. I don't know if this is a myth or fact but there is nothing wrong in avoiding these things if somebody is saying.

Hello Debb!
Nice to get your response. I am not ttc presently but in the near future i'll be. I have a daughter who is 3 years old and I had really bad morning sickness for the whole 9 months during my first pregnancy and thats the reason why I am scared to try for another child. My relatives are in india so I have no help here except my husband so I am scared who will take care of daughter if I get sick. I came to this forum to see if there is someone like me who is having the same problem and maybe she can share some tips with me. While I was reading the posts I came across yours. I've seen so many complicated cases of couples who tried to conceive for so many years and now they all are blessed with children. I know a couple who tried for 19 years and they are blessed with a daughter. I believe in my heart that you and all others who are ttc will be blessed with children soon, just believe in yourself and believe in god and keep trying. He is the most merciful.

Hi talat,
thanke for your encouragement. I've been trying for 3 years and getting a bit tired and old. I think there'll come a time that I will just give up. I can't live my life if my objective of living is to have a child. It is really heartbreaking each time when the preg test kit were negative. It is really discouraging. I am glad that you already have a daughter. I am sure all the 9 months of 'torture' is all worth it.

Hope you will find your answers.....:)
