Prostaglandins, hormones which make your uterus contract, leach through the uterine wall into the bowels, where they cause diarrhea. This is a common complaint.
Taking a nsiad (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) like aleve or naprosyn, or aspirin, which also acts on prostaglandins, will help, but they can irritate the stomach.
