Unprotected Sex + Birth Control Pills?
Posted: 04-06-06 19:46pm

I haven't had sex with my bf for awhile and I am on yasmin bc. I take it within the same couple hours every morning. Last night my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex. (we never use a condom) tonight I had a little bit of clear discharge that was slightly sticky/stretchy. I'm concerned. I've heard that that is a sign of ovulation. Should I worry about becoming pregnant?? I've heard sperm can live inside me for several days.

well for one if you *dont* want to get pregnant then I would advise you use a condom..Because unlike most girls think...Birth control isnt 100% effective..I am living proof I was on birth control and had unprotected sex..And guess what became pregnant..Im kind of confused on your whole post..Im not sure if you are wanting to be pregnant or scared that you are..But I guess the best thing to do is go to a doctor ..Because not only could that be a sign of pregnancy but you may also have an infection of some kind...But just a little secret...----if you dont want to be pregnant---please start using a condom--!!

I don't understand what's so confusing about my post. I'm on birth control, so obviously I don't want to be pregnant. I have never used condoms with my bf, and I haven't had discharge like this since I can remember. Just wondering what the chances are...

discharge can mean a lot of things. If you are worried, buy a hpt. If you don't want to get pregnant, you should use condoms, because as jillian already said birth control is not 100%

My period comes next wednesday so i'll wait it out to see what happens. As for using a condom, well, bc is very good contraception, and although I know that it isn't 100% it is pretty darn close and I take mine properly. Besides, is there anyone out there that actually enjoys using a condom vs not? Lol. I mean, I don't want to be pregnant, and I know how to prevent it, I just want to know if I should worry that I could be. Ya know?

I don't think the chances are very high, but it happens a lot more than you'd think. Which is why you should use condoms. It doesn't feel that much different.

haha sweetie like samantha said it does happen way more than you would think...Trust me I was in your shoes at one point and time and thought and said the same things as you..But now that I have a 8 month old I look at birth control with a whole different perspective..Seriously if you dont want to be pregnant...Weather you hate condoms or not..You should use them...It doesnt matter if you take them everyday at the same time..They still arent 100% effective..I took them correctly too and look at me!!...Dont be so hard headed..And use a condom!!!

And really im not trying to say that your boyfriend would but..What if he cheated on you and you never knew ...And he caught an std ..He would pass it right onto you without you ever knowing....---just a thought..But like I said im not trying to be rude just trying to help you out before you end up pregnant or with an std...---because this is life and things do happen that we never think will!!

Lol, now I remember why I don't post on this website. I didn't want a lecture on using condoms, i'm a smart girl, I swear, I wasn't worried about the odds. I just wanted to know if my discharge was actually ovulation or not and the chances that if I had sex the night before, could I become pregnant...That's all. Lol...

well you have a possibility of being pregnant at all times..Having sex the way you are...Thats pretty much what we are saying...Considering you are having discharge you *need* to see a doctor..It could be an infection or std of some kind ...Or a sign of pregnancy....So being that im not a doctor ...I cant tell you what exactly it is..But the first step to you finding out ..Would be to see a doctor and get a pap smear...Or blood test ..Whichever they choose

obviously you're not that smart. You are saying you don't want to get pregnant, but you are leaving the chance open.
