Q: What Do You Find to Be Least Painful Treatment For Warts??

I recently was diagnosed with external genital warts. I know I have to get them taken care of, because they're starting to spread, but I am so so scared of the pain. My doctor wants to use liquid nitrogen (cryogenic freezing I think it's called?), but i've heard that this is quite painful. Has anyone experieced this, and if so, was it very painful or tolerable or not painful at all? What other methods are available, and what are their pain factors? I realize that pain should not be the hugest factor in my treatment, and that I should focus more on the fact that they'll be gone rather than how it feels, but I really have difficulty dealing with pain. Please help me to find the least painful method available! Or at least let me know if the nitrogen freezing was painful for you, and to what extreme.
Thanks!

I am more scared of actually seeing a doctor about it then the pain caused by getting them removed.

Obviously, you won't die from it. It's a one-time suffering. It's definitely worth it!
I don't understand how people fear one-time pain, all I am worried about is long-term pain, defect and death!

Don't worry, get them out, it won't kill you!

If you really can't, you could try getting an hypnotherapist to put you to sleep, then you wont feel a thing! Hypnotherapy has the virtue of turning pain into pleasure, try to immagine a happy place while getting treatment! Lol

Imafraid-
i was diagnosed yesterday :( and I decided at the doc to just nip in the butt. She put this liquied stuff on it and honestly, it wasnt that bad. I got a treatment that felt hot. I will be honest, it was a little uncomfortable but really, it wasn't that bad. As others have said, its better to just get them taken care of. If you pinch your arm or something, it really helps! But like I say, its not that bad. I feel your pain though! If you have any other questions or want to talk, let me know! I am just learning about all of this too! I am a little scared about it all but I know there are a lot of us out there! Hope I helped...
