I would like to open the new post for the medication. Does it really help???
It's been said a lot about medication, some people believe in it, the other don’t. But what’s the truth? I’ve been reading a lot and I am completely confused. Somewhere you read the success rate is 90% or more and somewhere you read it doesn’t help and its just promotion from pharmaceutical industry as they make billions on it. In fact they make you more sick. I am not on either side. I know what fda does but also the medication help in some cases. I have mild to high anxiety, but if the medication would help me I would take them, why not. Can they cure you, threat you for a time, just mask it, or something else. I understand people are resistant to it but again what is the truth?
Appreciate your thoughts.

I've been on lexapro for anxiety for bout 5 months and it has helped me. 5 months isnt along time for anti-depressnets, but I have seen a difference. But it wouldnt be my first choice to start taking meds. Try talking with a therapist or something like that. Good luck

Yea
My dr gave me anti depressants and it dint work for me, I saw another dr he gave me rivotril but before giving me anti depressant he made me talk to psychiatrist who knows more about panic attacks he told me to do therapy as the meds would totaly block out symptoms and I woulnt be able to work on them.So im doing a therapy for 2 months but he suggested I do cbt cognetive behavioral therapy.

I understand that cbt works great for a lot of people, I realize that drs are good at writing oout prescriptions some do help people others do not the problem with them is that they kind of make you either feel real sleepy which they will generally tell you to tak them at night or they make you feelthat you are bouncing off the walls at 1st which generally means you need a sleeping aid for a while until you get used to them but if you can handle the side effects for a while they can generally help.
Good luck!

I am not really afraid for the side effects. My concern that if it will help you. To relax you for a while until your brain adjust and after some time to stop taking them. That would be great. I also read that seredyn has success rate of about 90%. Hard to beleive, everybody would buy it. But you never now.

I am taking seredyn for about a week and it doesn’t help much. They claim that it has immediate effect… maybe for some mild cases but not for me. In addition I am taking 5htp 100 mg/day, b-complex, vitamin c, coral calcium and q10-200mg/day. I will keep trying couple more weeks before I visit doc.
