Hi. I'm new here. My name is lissa. I'm 16 and due in june. I am placing my baby for adoption and was just wondering if anyone else was doing the same. I would really like to meet someone in my situation. Thank you.

Well I wish you the best of luck. I find it very comendable (sp) that you are doing what is best for this child. Have you found the adoptive parents yet? Are you doing an open or closed adoption.

I have not yet chosen the adoptive parents, but I am looking at profiles. I am hoping for a semi-open adoption.

Isn't semi-adoption when you can still be invoved in your child life? I think thats cool!

What if you all decide you want to give the baby up for adoption but in closer to the end want to keep it? Will you still go with the adoption?

The only thing I can say is that I will have to cross that bridge if I come to it. Right now, I am pretty certain in my decision and both of my parents and my b/f support me in thise decision, too.

I gave my daughter up for adoption when I was 15, I still see my daughter often & think adoption is a wonderful thing, as I gave her to a woman who wasn't able to have children.

I won't regret it, and i'm sure you won't either.

Goodluck.

There are basically 3 kinds of adoption: open, semi-open and closed. In an open adoption, you can have as much contact as you want, including visits. In a semi-open, you get letters and pictures and meet them before the baby is born. In a closed adoption, you don't meet them at all or have any contact. I think adoption is a much better choice than abortion with a lot fewer regrets.

I am :) ..I just made my decision recently with the help of dalicialynn haha. I was a little bit unsure but after asking and hearing how great her experience is I think it would be perfect for me..I'm still pretty excited though cause I know that no matter what ill still be a mom now and my baby will have a great life wherever he/she goes. On another note...I have a dr's appt next week just to check up and ill be 19 weeks..Will they be able to tell the sex yet? Haha.

drink a ton of water before you go...And I mean a ton and i'm pretty sure they'd be able too.

I'm also really glad I helped you make that decision =)
