Infertility Answer A946
If everything is ok with the uterus and the Fallopian tubes, then your doctor can examine the functionality of the ovaries. You can request an hormonal analyses (FSH, LH, estrogen, progesterone, prolactin, testosterone, DHEA, thyroxin) to observe the function of the axis hypothalamus-pituitary gland-ovaries. Sometimes a woman's hormones prevent her from producing eggs or can even stimulate the system to reject a fertilized zygote. Your partner can also request a sperm analyses (sperm count exam) to make sure he is within the appropriate fertility range.
