After searching for answers I finaly decided to have an abortion. I found some help on this site but the site imnotsorry.Net as suggested by jenn (i think) gave me the most help. I also found it helpful to write out everything that was going through my mind. I was never 100% happy with my choice but knew it was the right thing for me to do. I accepted that one day I might regret it, but also I vowed that when the time was right, I would try to raise a child in the right environment and I could teach the right values and give them the upbringing they deserve. Just before my abortion, I had the scan, it showed no pregnancy. While undergoing other tests to see if it was ectopic, it ruptured causing me to undergo emergency treatment to remove the pregnancy from my tube. I feel relieved that my guilt of abortion has been lifted, but I still would have gone through with it. Im now coping with the feeling of losing a child, whether it was meant to be or not. I think im doing ok. The last few weeks have been the toughest of my life but I have learnt so much about myself and about how it could feel to be a parent. I definately see the world differently and my priorities are changing. So if I can offer any advice to someone considering abortion I would say its probably the hardest decision ever but use the experience positively. There is a lot of soul searching to do and whatever you decide, make sure you come through the other side a stronger, wiser and more positive person. No experience is a bad experience as long as you keep learning and growing. I now truly believe that. Good luck.X

I am sorry about what happened to you!
Jenn is very good on this sight! She is great about her resarch and she too has gone through it.
Abortion is a very difficult decision but one that is made for not only in the best intrests of the mother-to-be but also for the fetus as you start to get older you see so much soo, many so-called mothers that should not have that right along with the fathers and I am not talking about all of them as there are good also. When you have to deal with them like I have had to it is very difficult not to say anything.
Let's just hope that abortion can remain legal so that we may still have that right aand the choice.
Please, do not feel bad, things happen for a reason, how well I know that! Just do not blame yourself, it just was not the right time.
We are here for you(bad typing and all)!

here are a few links about abortion procedures although if you have any queries you should ask your doctor. There is alot of information around.

the pain factor depends on your individual pain threshold and also which method of abortion you are having.
