I have heard 2 different stories about this. Since your glyocen levels are low you burn more fat but I have also heard that is just burns muscle. What have you all heard

Glycogen is a sugar byproduct that stores three times it's weight in water, *but* it is a necessary building block for muscle. You want to have glycogen in your system, but not give it the time to store up additional water. A good mix of fibre, carbs, low sodium, low "bad" sugar, and a lot of water will help trim down unwanted fat, and added protein to that mix will help build good muscle. But don't ignore glycogen...I would suggest eating a healthy snack, or shake about an hour before working out, and then another immediately after to replenish lost nutrients.

I agree with songwriter. Not only is your glycogen a factor, but coristol is also at it's highest in the morning.

Try to have some fruit, oats, and a source of protein in the morning.

When you wake, your body is in a catabolic state, so you want protein as soon as possible to remain anabolic.
