I think messing with that stuff can be dangerous. Try waiting and letting it happen naturally...

Pineapple chunks - although you need to eat about 8 whole pineapples! Raspberry leaf tea or tablets appear to be working for me. I'm due in...12 days and have been feeling braxtons regularly and keep getting a period type ache. I started taking the tablets at about 34 weeks and noticed this so stopped as I was scared! Now i'm rearing to go...Bring it on!!!!!!!! Lol.

Walking is meant to be a good one as the baby's head will be bouncing on your cervix....Hot spicey food....Sex - your fellas sperm has oxytocin type chemical in it which can bring on contractions by softening the cervix and getting things going.

Can't think of anything else at the moment!!!

Castor oil....Mix 4tsp in grape juice or orange juice...Or even hot cocoa. This will make you poop but it'll bring on those contractions. My sister has 4 kids and it worked everytime! Good luck and keep us posted.

you can add a scoop of ice cream to kinda help with the taste too!!!! I've seen this work too!!

Also, nipple stimulation. If you're overdue, start pumping your breasts. This causes your uterus to contract and it starts the process!!

Good luck!

I think I heard yoga helps, but that's probably only if you've done it before, and probably only certain positions.

Don't do castor oil or the fruit thing, that just gives you the runs most times. But no baby.

Spicy food doesn't make any sense. I mean it would stimulate the baby, but I wouldn't be too sure about contractions.

Sex is supposedly the *second* best idea, the first being to let it come naturally.

I've heard that dong quai was used in ancient china to induce labor - it causes the uterus to contract. You might hear that it's dangerous to use this herb during pregnancy, but not when you are in the second or third trimester. In early pregnancy (as in first trimester), the herb can be used as a means of herbal abortion.

I am deathly afraid of herbs, as they're not as commonly used as most say. So there are no guarentees as to what the effects may be. I'd be even more afraid if I were using mystery junk (herbs, that I don't have a complete working knowlege of) on my baby!
