Okay, I recently had my baby shower... I got tons of stuff, it was insane! There was so many ppl there ... Lol but anyways...

I have one 40 pack of newborn diapers that go to 10lbs

but then.. I have almost 500 size 1 diapers.. They go from 8lbs - 14lbs

and then I have 124 size 2 diapers lol

i guess what my question is... How old r they usually when they grow outta size one?? Like, how long do they wear them for? I heard its the size they stay in the longest but I dunno.. I figure I can take whichever ones I dont use back and exchange them for the right size I need.. Im just trying to figure out which package I should open lol

It all depends on thew size of your baby. My son outgrew size 1 by 1 month old. He's 9 months now and wears a size 6, but he's huge and most babies are only wearing size 3 or 4 now-lol

i'm glad you enjoyed your shower neeko. And remmeber any extra diapers can be given to your local women's shelter.

My daughter wore size one dipers for 3 months, if you have to many size one's you can prob go to walmart and they will either return them and give you a gift card or let you exchange them even if they are not from there as lons as they sell them. I know our local walmart did. Just an idea

Awww babyshowers, I can't wait for mine, they are so fun. Anyway they say you use approx 8 diapers a day...Give or take a few. But as for howlong they wear them I have no idea yet.

ya that's a good average unless they're sick. Trey had gastro last week and I went through 84 diapers in 3 days!!!!!

Im going to ask my dr how big he thinks the baby is going to be...I was just asking so I cou ld figure out which package to open..Sum r really big and sum r way smaller type of thing and I plan on exchanging any I dont need for the size I do need...Yeah everyone said diapers and formula is the best gift! Lol which makes sense

i got tons of stuff, no bottles or formula tho but I got a walmart gift card so I went out and bought bottles and some formula...

I was so overwhelmed at my baby shower, my family rented a hall and everything.. There was ppl there I havent seen in 5 years! It was fun lol I must have opened gifts for about 2 hours!!! Still trying to work on putting everything away

well, as soon as the newborn ones are finished, (change every 3-4 hours, so about 8 nappies a day, that's only about 5 days worth) he might be close enough to 8lb anyway, so you can move right on to the size 1's- even if he's not quite that big, they should'nt be too outrageously big. So lets see, you go 500, lets say you only need 6 a day, that's 83 days- about 11 weeks.
If he's born at 7lbs, you can expect him to be in or around 12lb at the age of 3 months (12 weeks). There should still be a good two weeks until he reaches 14lb.
So it works out about right, you'd be surprised how many you use- 500 is not really as many as it sounds !!!
