I had signifigant head trauma from a horse
running into my face 2mos ago that I
obtained a concussion, and spinal injury
from. I was hit in the
nose/forehead/right eye area. My nose had
alot of swelling and I had black eyes, I
had an xray at a walk in clinic the day of
that they said showed what was probably a
fracture,but as it's workers compensation
I didn't get a facial ct scan until 3wks
after it didn't show a fracture, however I
was told that I have a deviated septum. I
know I didn't have one 2 years ago when I
had my nose checked out from a previous
injury. Since this last trauma i've had
trouble breathing out the right side of my
nose, there's a bump on the bridge of my
nose on the right side, I sneezed the
other day and it felt like I had been
whacked in the nose, and basically my nose
just feels weird.
My questions are:
is it possible to get a deviated septum
from blunt trauma with out breaking your
nose?
Also, would a ct scan 3wks after the date
of the incident show a even show a
fracture?
I would greatly appreciate any type of
input, thanks. :)

I had a severly deviated septum and never
broke my nose, so yes it is possible to
have it deviate without a break. There
are times growing up I remember being
roughed around during basketball which may
have caused it, but I don't know. I had
septoplasty last month to straighten the
septum. Good luck!

Nevermind I just found out that my nose
was fractured. Stupid centra
care.. Funny how they didn't call me and
let me know when they got the report from
the 2nd set of xrays.
