Hi...

I just started neurontin for my desiccated and herniated l4-5 with minimimal stenosis at the same level and I really don't like how I am feeling. I feel verrrry tired and uncoordinated.

Does anyone else take this medication? Does it work for you? My doctor really wants me off the vicodin but these can't be the only two medications in the world...

Adivce and/or experience with this medication?

Neurontin Use
Hi-- I took neurontin for pain as well and had the worst side effects that i've ever had in my life(and that's really saying something) I had major hallucinations that were actually real to me. I actually saw and talked with the people in the hallucination, while taking neurontin. It was awful. I called my dear husband when I couldn't get the "people" to leave and he raced home, got me to our dr's and she couldn't get a pulse.
I don't remember what she gave me to counteract the effects, but believe me, I never, ever took neurontin again!!! I have a really hard time finding any pain relief for the severe, severe, severe kyphosis I have and/or the severe fibromyalgia and arthritis that I have. Vicodin took the edge off, percocet worked ok for awhile, then lost its efficacy, oxycontin did nothing for my pain, but has helped others, I know, loritab wasn't helpful at all, and pain relief is still a major issue for me. I went to my doc's today and we're gonna try one that I think is pretty new, called "lyrica." so, keep my fingers crossed for that one! The best pain relief that I have actually found has been midrin, which is actually a med for my migraines! But it seems to at least knock me out until the pain has dissipated a bit. I wish you the best of luck in finding something to help with the pain. I find that a paper back pdr is really helpful to me for looking up different meds that might help, plus I have a Dr. Who will do anything to help me. Take good care and good luck-

i had an accident on 9/10/11 and had to have a craniotomy to remove a subdural hematoma from the right frontal lobe of my brain. i now have seizures and brain damage. i have been on neurontin for about a year now and up until last week i never really had any problems. last week i saw something that ran toward me and then disapeared. I've had a few more hallucinations since then. they seem so real. i'm kinda worried.
