Ok... The other topic was side effects of the pill. This... I jsut need to clear my head....
I started cerazette for the first time (ever any pill) 2 weeks ago. Now I was fine until mid week and the last couple of days. I have awful skin, bloatedness like u wouldnt believe.... Sore, enlarged breasts, gas and mood swings. Now.. Im hoping that these are due to the pill. Me and my bf have sex once.. A condom was used.. It was both our first times and I was 8 days into my pill taking........ However. 6 weeks.. (ish) ago 3/03 we had foreplay.... And he's scared incase his semen came near where it shouldnt. Since going on the pill.. This paranoia has increased dramatically... I have boought a hpt... But im wondering to take now or wait till next week when my periods due?...... I have no sickness, no nausea, no back aches or headaches... No cravings or over eating yet im putting on weight on my hips and boobs already..... I just dunno. I gues a hpt is the only way..... Its just confusing coz my bodys not used to all this hormone stuff I dont think........ Anyway.. Thought id ask... Xx

Hey :) I know where you're coming from. I'm on the pill (ortho lo) and when I first went on it, was bloated/breasts hurt, etc. It makes you feel like you're pregnant for a little while because your body is getting adjusted to the hormones.

Based on what you said about having sex, you're fine. You used a condom and haven't had sex since, although you could and would be protected. As long as you take your pill every day at around the same time (3 hours plus or minus the usual time, check with your doc for your brand), there is an extremely slim chance of pregnancy. If it makes you feel better, you can wait to test until you get your period. Some months I do, because it makes my boyfriend feel reassured.

You're welcome. It's easy to get paranoid when there is no "visible barrier," like a condom, but unless you're significantly overweight or on antibiotics, your birth control will be effective. Why are you worried during foreplay?
