Is it wierd that she thinks everyone else isn't real and that she is the only person in existance. She knows that i'm still here, but she thinks that the world is an illusion or a test and that she's the only thing that is real. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hello
I'm sorry to hear that your girlfriend suffers from paranoid schizophrenia. It is a horrible illness. I should know my finace has the same thing. When he isn't in an "episode" so to speak and takes his meds as prescribed he is the most thoughtful, kind, caring, fun person to be around. When he stops his meds, or drinks and/or drugs and is "out of it" then he thinks the whole world is out to get him including me. Ya know the police are following him, every person on the street is an undercover cop, everything is tapped. So to answer your question you are not alone. If you need to talk I am here.

i have read that I shouldn't buy into anything they say. Like how she hears voices, I should never refer to them as people, right? All the help that anyone gives is much appreciated.

You just need to accept it. If you love the person, it doesn't matter what their problem is. My girl hears voices, has intense flashbacks, but when i hold her close to me, it all goes away. With true love you can destroy certain barriers.

Extremely eHealthy
I dated a girl for a few years with very mild schizophrenia. I'm not sure if it's easier or harder. Her delusions and halucinations were rational which made them much easier for her to accept and even at times hard for me to disbelieve. She socially isolated me because she was convinced that her friends and mine kept making crude comments about her when they didn't think she could hear. When I tried to rationalize her delusions I was out to get her. In the end she had a really bad episode and become completely delusional screaming at me for perceived crimes.

Loving someone who is disconnected from reality means that you cannot count on your love being interpreted correctly. You will become the enemy of the person you love without warning or justification. Trust may not be something you can expect from her. If you really love her try to make it work but don't be confused about the course of the illness. Schizophrenia gets better and worse even when medicated but there will never be a point with her that you can say you've made it through the worst and everything will get better now.

Thank you WOLF for writing your response. My fiance and I broke up because he interpreted my love incorrectly and I became the most horrible person according to the thoughts in his head. I should have researched his paranoid schizophrenia more at the beginning of our relationship when he told me, and I do feel that falling in love with someone with mild schizophrenia is hard because they do convince you of their own world and that is all there is and it messes with your head and heart in the end. You can love them all you want, but who they are going to be is not dependable and it is not even their fault. Could have been a lonely marriage.

How many times do I have to say this?
Truth be told Im somewhat of an fool honestly, but this is no illness.

And thats that, its not a disease, something else is causing it.

Its very paranormal so to speak.

Yeah just go to a pranic healer, it is called pranic healing. All the voices or hallucinations will go away, i had voices in my head for a year. I found out about this and in a matter of a week the voices went away.
