Here's my situation. The bottom molar teeth on both ends of my mouth have grown in at a 45 degree angle. My dentist has been hounding me for years to get them pulled, but like any coward, i've managed to avoid it thus far.

Now i'm seriously considering it, and I just want to know what the procedure is like and how long the recovery period might be. Also, what restrictions will I have during the recovery? Will I have to avoid eating altogether?

I had all of my wisdom teeth taken out about 18 months ago. I was nervous about it, but the whole thing went great! I had iv sedation - that was excellent. No probs and thanks to the hypnoval it felt like it took about 10 minutes! I was a bit swollen for about 3 days after, but felt fine. Developed a buccal-space abcess, but that didn't hurt, it just made me swell up again on one side. It took care of itself after about 24 hours.
The whole thing was fine, i'd do it again if I had to!
Just say yes to drugs!
