Hi,
This is my first time writing on a forum,, I am really really worried.
The other night i was sleeping next to my mum and was woken up with her hitting her head eyes gone white and body in fits, I thought she was having a bad dream so i tried to wake her up.
When i put the light on she had lost all control of her body, it was like she was a heavy sack which I couldn’t sit up, she starting making a loud snoring kind of noise and she was foaming saliva around her mouth with her tongue coming out.
For a second I thought this is it oh my god. I called my brother in then called an ambulance. When they tried to put an oxygen mask on her and hold her still to inject her with something to calm her down her body was reacting in a way that she was trying to escape, she was rolling all over the bed.
When taken into the hospital the initial reaction was that she had a stroke, but when she came to, although they found the left side of her body weaker it was still responsive. She slurred when communicating and could not recall anything.
The CIT scan came back with no abnormalities in the brain at all, no sign of a stroke and she does not have epilepsy. Her blood reports came back fine as well.
It has never happened before. The doctors say there is no indication as to why this could have happened.
Her sugar levels where a little high but it was not out of range and she has been complaining about headaches before and after the event, her bloody pressure was also fine.
Does anyone have an idea as to what it could be, any advice would be helpful.
We are shocked by the event and feel as though we cant leave her alone as we believe it was a close call.
