I had an abortion friday, it is now monday. I was 6 weeks pregnant when I had the termination.

Im still bleeding and feeling pain in my stomache and my stomache is a little blown up almost like im bloated. Im not sure if its common to still be bleeding and bloated 3 days after an abortion?

Maybe im just worrying and nothings wrong, but does anyone know the after effects and if this is normal?

Bleeding for 7-14 days after is normal I pesonally bleed for about 3 weeks with the last week being mild spotting and the doctor said that was ok. But if the bleeding is heavier than a normal period and the pain isnt helped by the medication prescribed you should definitely call the doctor. Give them a call anyway if you are concerned. It will put your mind at ease.

Hi I wrote a post about after effects of abortion and you said you bled for 3 weeks, aslo was your stomache blown up at all? I feel so bloated and its so much bigger then normal

i don't recall any bloating or feeling "blown up" but you are obviously concerned about this and I really think you should call your doctor and express your concerns. I know it is difficult to call and feel stupid about what your concerned about (believe me I know). But really you need to put your mind at ease and make sure that nothing is wrong. I'm not an expert, so please call and let me know what they said.

i had a surgical abortion 5 days ago. if it is any help, i am still feeling very bloated. after looking at a lot of information on abortion clinic websites, this appears normal and can last for up to a month. so guess we just hang in there and let our bodies and hormonal levels get back to normal.
