Q: My Stomach
asked by: alex-x-x-x-x on April 1st, 2006

When I eat, I find that I can eat a lot and fill my stomach until it is full, but then be able to eat again very shortly afterwards (about 10mins). When I lie down, I also find I become very hungry, and my stomach bloats a lot. I feel that my stomach is bloated most of the time, and it normally looks bloated when it feels it. My stomach is constantly churning, even when I am hungry, and rumbels when im full. The churning and rumbling are normally together too, and I can feel my stomach churning and contracting, but sometimes have not eaten for a while, and can come up with no reason for its churning and rumbling tendancies. It can be very embaressing when it starts to make rumbling and churning noises, especially after eating a large meal which fills my stomach up completely. Im within my normal weight range, average, and eat a healthy diet with fruit and veg etc, but I get these problems with my stomach. I try hard not to overeat, and never eat so much that my stomach is 'fit to burst'. Please could anyone be able to help me?? Thanks, al x x

Mabey you got a thyroid problem that needs to be looked at? Does your body get sudden urges to eat again even after a big meal?

Are you stressed out or depressed for any reason long term?

But your body is obviously confused and it is good to reverse that. I'd ask a docter if you cant control it

Thank you! Yes, I have exams in a few weeks, and if I dont get a's, my parents are likely to batter me! Yes I do get hungry very quickly after a large meal, but put on weight very very slowly, and lose it slowly too. Im reckoning I have a pretty good metabolism though as (its all coming out now) I basically ate loads of biscuits last term everyday, and only put on about 2pounds when I probably should have put on more like 6. Im not normal! Anyway, thanks for your advice. X x x
