About two weeks ago my boyfriend and I got intimate.. A few times.. The first time we used a condom.. After that we tried the pull out method. Stupid.. Yes. Anyways.. I've missed my period since then... I've had a few symptoms of pregnancy... But... I took a home test just yesterday and it came back negative.. Do you think it was too early to test or am I being paranoid?

I'm pretty sure it's too early, I think the earliest you can find out you're pregnant is 4 weeks?

If you don't want a baby please use a condom, do you know the pull out method is just a myth and can actually get you pregnant?

Because if you knew it could get you pregnant then it's pretty dumb you did it anyways.

Well, I didn't know it was just a myth. I actually did some research on it. A few sites said it was better than nothing. I know.. Without the use of a condom is pretty stupid. I'l be the first to admit that one. I regret that night... I'm 17... I don't want a child.. But if I am pregnant.. I am. Nothing can change about that one. I'm a person who believes in fate. Everything happens for a reason...

Like you said.. You believe it was too early? I was planning on taking another...

If I am... Have any advice for me about telling my family that I am pregnant?

I'm 17 aswell, and just had a baby march 3rd.

I believe in fate aswell, but not when you did nothing to try and prevent it.

Yeah i'm pretty positive it's too early. I'd wait a couple weeks, maybe even give it a few weeks and then test again. They have a test called first response, and you're able to test 5 days sooner, they also have 2 tests in the box.

About the family part, I don't know how you're parents are, my mom was in the bathroom with me when I took the test, she even went out and bought it so I can't really help ya out there unless you tell me what kind of attitudes you're parents have. I waited to tell my step dad though, he was dissapointed but got over it quick (i'm the baby of the family)

i always find it easier to write letters to my family when I need to talk to them about something serious.

Sorry I couldn't be more help!

No worries about the help part. I didn't expect to get much.

And about my mom... She's strange.. She can be calm about things, but then again take something out of proportion. It's a little crazed.

I understand, my "sister" had an abortion at 15, and then had a baby at 17 aswell so it didnt hit my mom hard I guess because it had already happend.

It's really late over here, 3:39am. So i'm going to go to bed.

It can get pretty wild in the forums, but welcome!!!

I'm on here almost everyday, so i'm sure i'll see ya around.

=)

If it was truly 2 weeks ago (14 days), then there's a good chance if you're pregnant, the test will show up positive. It still could be a couple days too early, though.

Pulling out (if done correctly) is fairly reliable. The problem is, it's rarely done correctly, so it rarely works.

Pre-cum is not really effective in getting someone pregnant unless there is sperm in it. Normally, unless a guy has had sex (or masturbated) very recently (a couple hours before), there's very very little to no sperm in his pre-cum. So there is a small chance that a woman could get pregnant off of pre-cum, but not a very likely chance.

My husband and I have been using this method for a while and i've never got pregnant unless I wanted to.

Especially if the guy pees before hand and hasn't had sex that day and knows when to pull out, there's not a very good chance at all that the woman will get pregnant.

Of course, like I said before, it's not 100%, so unless getting pregnant wouldn't be the end of the world for you, I wouldn't use this method.
