Hi. I had a 1 night stand with this girl about 6 weeks ago. She said she was on the pill. But then she text me the a few days ago saying she was pregnant and im the only person shes slept with recently. Shes only 16 and she says she wants to keep the baby. I tried to persuade her not too but she still says she wants it. She said she will get support from her friends and family and I dont have to be anything to do with her

i just dunno what to do. I spoke to my mum and brother and they both told me that I shouldnt have anythin to do with her. I said but it takes 2 and my mum said shes the one with the choice to keep it or not so its her responsability. Im only 21 and im in another relationship. I dont want a baby now. I always thought that havin a baby was somin you do when 2 people are in love after alot of consideration and planing. It shouldnt be the result of a 1 night stand or accident

and no pro lifers please

I think personally that you should stick by her in her decision... I'm not pro-life as such I agree with abortion in certian circumstances but maybe this isn't one of them if the mother wants to keep the baby.

Talk to her and tell her exactly how you feel and make her see your side of the ordeal... You should really have used other forms of contraception if it was only a one night stand as she could have an std or something.

In a way (i dont know the laws where you are) but here in the uk you have to stick by the mother as even if you are split up the father has to pay for some of the childs upbringing... It does take two, you are right, but whatever your mother says and however much you do not want a kid you were the other member in the duo. Good luck, let us know what happens.
