Q: Alcohol While On Aspirin Medication?

Hello, I am taking 2 tabs of alleve in the morning and in the evening everyday. About twice a month I will go to a party and have some drinks. Usually 8-10 drinks in the course of 5 hours. Those 2 times out of the month are the only time I drink any alcohol. I am concerned about alcohol and aspirin, as I have heard it can be a pretty serious issue. I was wondering am I putting myself at risk with the drinking? Also, how long does aspirin stay in one's system? Could I just not take any aspirn a day or two before I plan to drink? Thanks, I appreciate any help.

Don't Mix the 2
First of all alieve is not asprin, it is like naproxin or naprocin. And why might I ask are you taking 4 a day when the bottle says don't exceed 2 in 24 hours. I have had an ulcer before, and it was primarily caused by taking naprocin 500mg that was prescribed to me, 2 at a time, combined with not eating or drinking anything when I took them. Maybe you shouldn't take two at a time in the morning or evening. Or at least drink milk or eat something with the alieve. And how often are you really drinking alcohol? Do you have a set schedule or something, because most people don't plan out their drinking habits that closely. Alcohol and pills do not mix!!!!! I have had problems with taking a bunch of pills, and I ended up in the hospital having an upper gi and finding out I had an ulcer. Just be careful taking so many pills!!!!!
