I have been on the same bc pills for 15mths now. I have not missed a pill and take them the same time every night. (i had twins my first pregnancy so we want the next one to be planned) I have 7 more active pills in the pack and today I started light spotting with a brownish color and a little bit of cramping. I normally dont start until the first day of the "sugar" pills. (thats still 7days away) so could I be pregnant?? I havent said anything to my husband yet but if I have been on bc for this long with no problems should I be worried....Someone please respond.

Thank you :(

i guess you could be, but this happened to me last month and I never found out what it was but I am not pregnant so , it could def be something else eg. Stress, other medication/antibiotics

Hey, don't worry about it. Occasional bleeding between periods is normal on birth control pillls. It just depends from woman to woman. It happened to me a few months back - i'd been on cilest for about a year/year and a half when I noticed menstrual blood and tissue about 2 weeks before my period was due - freaked me out!! I was going to the doctors for something else anyway so I asked him about it and he said not to worry unless it persists for a long time. He told me it just happens occasionally on the pill. It's fine. I'd expect it to fade away within a few days. Fear not!
