Hi ladies. I have a quick question. I started my lmp on march 21. It was a normal period, first 2 days really heavy, small to medium clotting and then it tapered off slowly. Now, it is 8 days later and I started to bleed a little bit again tonight. This has never happened to me before. I am not sure why this is happening. Perhaps it is just the rest of the menstrual blood and tissue but needless to say, different and therefore I am worried about it.

Does that sound normal to you all? It isn't as heavy as a period, and it is also more brown then red. My lmp came on time considering february has 28 days and would make it not come on the same day as normal.

You are all more knowledgable then me, what do you think this could be?

There are so many reasons that might be the cause of your irregular bleeding. It would be worth the call to your doctor to discuss getting an exam, even if you aren't due for a pap.

Fibroids, an ovarian cyst, a bacterial infection are just a few reasons why your cycles could get strange on you. Don't do what I did and wait and see if it gets better. I had a weird period in dec, skipped in jan and then had a twenty five day cycle in feb - at which time I did seek the doctor and the doctor said "can't do the pap until you are done with the cycle".
Had the pap the first week in march and was sent to an ultra sound when the pap didn't show anything. Ultra sound showed a fibroid and a cyst. I was then sent to another doctor to be examed, this doctor said "biopsy is needed". I started my cycle again. The doctor's wont give me anything to regulate my cycle til they determine the cause of my irregular bleeding. I've been on my cycle this time for three weeks with no end in sight and the biopsy surgery isn't scheduled til may! Augh! Nurse said the doctor must not think its cancer or he wouldn't be making me wait this long, but thats still a month of an irregular period!
I wish I had called the doctor in december when I thought it was a bit strange that I went for ten days!

Wowzers!! Idk Anymore
Omg!!! My cycle is very irregular too. So much that it skips a month more then once and I always find myself thinking that I am pregnant.
Also lately, well once I realized my cycle was even more irregular then the usual few days or so late....It was very very brigt red....And either really heavy the whole time and lasted 10-12 days or it was bright red but not heavy.
I went to the docs and told her how this is an issue and I also have side pains like a shooting pain and I told her I looked up(on here) I had every sign of endometriosis!! My doc. Laughed at me. She said I got a pap in oct 2005 and I do not need one and plus when I went to see her my period was still carrying on...Gaaahh..

They told me nothing about cysts, fibroids, endo, stds but they said they would call and schedule an ultra sound but they felt it was not needed because im young.

Im not 12 anymore im almost 19 aka a young women and I can have the same problems as anyone regardless of age.

So yeah maybe I should call them back and or switch docs because I don't want to have to wait like you!!

But good luck with everything I hope ur alright

I think that it was just the end of my period. It was just a little bit of brown blood about 2 days that it ended. I wore a pad to bed just to be safe, but it was nothing. I've been fighting a cold so maybe that screwed it up a bit. If next month is weird too then I will go to the gyno. Actually, I have to go back for a check up in a few weeks so i'll just ask her then.

Freckles, the majority of the real problems are unusual in teen agers but that doesn't mean that you can't have something. My sister had endometriosis at your age and a tilted uterus.

It never hurts to get a second opinion.
