Blood Disorders Answer A751
The normal value for platelets is between 150,000 to 450,000/L blood. There is an increase in the platelets' value during some bone marrow diseases, after bleeding, after spleen removal, and as a reaction to inflammatory diseases (iron deficiency, malignant diseases, etc). There is nothing that your sister can do by herself except to visit a doctor for further examinations.
