I have an 8 year old daughter who has suffered a rash in her mid thighs for the last "4" years. We have been to several doctors, dermatologist, had a skin prick for allergies on her back, ect. Well now the rash is getting worse and going down her legs even more. But now when it flares up it is associated with stomach pain and diareah along with waking up in the middle of the night complaining with it, irritability, and tiredness. The last doctor we went to I suggested we do an immino blood test and he laughed at me and told me to give her pepcid once a day and sent me home with again more cream. I know that she is allergic to dairy products and buy soy milks and cheeses, ect. But something has got to be triggering this especially when she is on a strict diet. Somebody please give me a clue here!! Crying or Very sad

Extremely eHealthy
First i'd look for a decent dr - one who'll check your daughter out thoroughly until the problem is found & solved.

Second though you could go to a search engine & look up each of her symptoms till you find medical conditions that seem to fit.

Third, you might want to restrict her diet further for a couple of weeks then gradually re-introduce foods one at a time several days apart & see if there's any changes.

Fourth, some of the symptoms like waking up stomache pains/diarrhoea etc could be related to stress over all this.

Last & i'm sorry for raising this spectre but is there any chance at all that someone (male/female, family, friend, teacher anyone) might be sexually assaulting her? The rash could have been caused by it starting as touching or "coming" between her legs & then as the abuse worsened so did the symptoms. I really hate suggesting this possibility but I have worked in this field so do have some knowledge of possible symptoms. But before you go out & kill anyone, these symptoms could also be caused by other things, including stress etc. Maybe take her to see a child counsellor/psychologist/psychiatrist??

My prayers are with you both.

Check out Celiacs. Gluten may be the culprit.

Its Gluten for sure! or enviromental allergies, most likely gluten. Parents dont want to remove this because its soo soo hard and expensive, parents please realize that many kids dont test positive for gluten allergy but they are still allergic, my daughter is gluten and lactose intolerant with an entire year so far of pain and she has had allergy tests that did not come up that she was allergic, she is doing better off the gluten and lactose its very very hard work and depressing but far more depressing to have a sick child. ibs can be helped by taking off gluten also.
