Q: Occasional Chest Pain Coincides with my Heartbeat...What Can

hey there.....well i have had this happening to me for a while....but it has gfotten a bit worse now...i get occasional chest pains in the left side that coincide with the beat of my heart...its not sharp unless i breathe deeper.....sometimes it happens with physical activity..sometimes when im resting..but i dont understand what is going on...my doctor a year ago had told me that it was nothing to worry about..that it had something to do with my heart hitting my chest wall or something im not sure i cant remeber..anyways it is really bothersome and i cant seem to find a medical issue that coincides with these symptoms..so can you help me??...thanks alot

According to your age and symptoms (chest pain) it's not likely that you have a heart disease. If you were over 40, I would consider angina pectoris but at your age it is nearly impossible. It could be a muscle pain (it becomes sharper when you take a deep breath). There is another possibility, typical for your age, called dystonia neuron-vegetative (DNV). During DNV, psycho-emotional suffering is transformed into a physical symptom (pain). Pain coinciding with the heartbeat is typical for DNV. You can request an ECG to help ease your anxiety. You should also avoid smoking, alcohol and too much coffee at this time.
