It's different for each individual .Woman.
Your doctor can prescribe medication
that will cause you to have your period
(my friend uses them regularly). If you
are concerned, you should make an
appointment to see your doctor. It could
take up to a full year for you to start
ovulating again but in theory you should
be experiencing a regular period again.
Peace,

You can go to planned parenthood. They
may be able to give you an idea what to
expect.

You're lucky! I finished my depo in
january. Bled the whole time I was on
it, and have bled since I stopped taking
it until just today!! Today is my first
blood free day in like, 9 months! Lol

When I stopped taking my pills (ortho
novum) in may 05, I didn't have another
period until september 05. Then I went
and got on a different pill (ortho lo) and
my periods have been regular since then,
and I am not emotional like I was on ortho
novum. But, it took almost 4 months to
get my period back after stopping the
pills.
