First of all, I would like to apologize for any misinformation I have given to any of you about nuvaring: you can only remove it for up to three hours per month. My college's nurse practitioner told me it was three hours per day. Needless to say, I am no longer going to see her!

Now for my problem. I am in a long distance engagement. I recently went to visit my fiance for a week from march 10-17. Sometimes the nuvaring bothers him - it's actually a little painful I guess, so I do remove it if he asks and reinserts it as soon as we are finished.

However, when I returned home, my period arrived a full day late, and it has been very light. I did a little research and found out that it is only three hours per month that the ring can be out. I am 99% sure that my ring was not removed for more than 2 and a half hours during the week I was with him. But I am very concerned that I could be pregnant since it was out for nearly three hours in less than a week.

As I said, my period arrived late (wednesday instead of tuesday) and has been much lighter than usual. Could this be a sign of pregnancy?
