Q: Any Experience With Labor With High Blood Pressure?

I am 36.3 weeks and am getting my cervix ripened and membranes sweeped next week because I have had high blood pressure since 32 weeks and am on bedrest. Hopefully it will kickstart labor on its own, if not they are supposed to redo the ripening the following week, and if still nothing they will really induce me on the 10th, at 39 weeks. I have not gotten preeclampsia but may at any time. I have had extreme weight gain with out swelling and no other signs. Has anyone had experience giving birth with hbp, did you have to have medication during labor to control it or magnesium sulfate. I almost feel they should just induce me next weeks since even hbp is risky to me and baby. Why wait for preeclampsia to set in. If my bp gets to 160/100 just talking on the phone I can only imagine how high it will be in labor. Any insight?
