Q: Did Masseur Pass the HIV Infection to Me during a Massage?
asked by: DoctorQuestion on March 24th, 2006
Dear doctor,

I went to massage parlour last two day just for normal massage. But the next day, my whole body feel itchy. I am think of that i may get hiv infection this way because the messauer told me that she also offer masturbation for its client but i rejected her offer.

What if the massuer give masturbation to her previous client and she didn't properly clean up her hand and then later she come to massage with ginger oil. I am so scared because her outlook seems dirty.

What is the chance i get infected with hiv this day and do i need to take the hiv antibody test... I am really freaking out now because of the itchinesss.

Thanks and regards

HIV-infection is not likely to be transmitted via dirty hands, masturbation or massage. However, if the masseur had fresh sperm on her hands and you had open wounds on your body...there is a chance that HIV be passed from her to you. Nonetheless, It doesn't seem that you can get infected with HIV under the circumstances you’ve described. Ihn any case, you can take and HIV-test now and in 6 months just to be sure.
