What can I Do for a Disclocated Jaw?

User Profile
I was told by a dentist that I have a dislocated jaw and that the meniscus had slipped forward. I cannot open my mouth all the way and have loud clicking on opening or chewing. He suggested a night time splint but that it might not not help and there was no other treatment.
Does this sound right?

You will need an expert opinion from a specialist for oral surgery in order to determine the proper treatment for a dislocated jaw.
